My PhD focuses on computational modeling of Train-Track-Bridge interaction. My adviser is Rajib Chowdhury in the Department of Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.

Structural Design Executive at Vastustruct — designed reinforced concrete buildings, conventional steel structures and pre-engineered buildings with their foundation systems; prepared structural drawings, attended client meetings and site visits.

Rajat A. Sirsikar is a Structural Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the analysis and design of steel structures, pre-engineered buildings, cold-formed steel, and reinforced concrete buildings. His research interests include nonlinear mechanics, finite element analysis, buildings and bridges to contribute toward safer and more resilient infrastructure. He enjoys developing computational tools to make structural engineering more efficient and sharing practical insights from both industry and research.
